Our 2018 Buick LaCrosse experienced a thermostat failure at ~55000 miles, 55 miles from home on March 16. Fortunately, the thermostat was stuck open and a routine appointment for oil change, tire rotation, and state inspection was already scheduled for the next day. The thermostat was still stuck during that appointment. A new one could not be located locally and an order was placed. When Mangino Buick GMC received the new thermostat an appointment for March 26 at 9:30 am was scheduled. I was told the repair would take 4 hrs and I agreed to wait at the dealership rather than drop-off the vehicle. The trip to the dealership takes more than 30 minutes travel time on a good day. When I arrived I notified the advisor that the thermostat was no longer stuck and was operational, and that the left rear directional was not functioning. At ~11:45 the advisor informed me that the left rear directional bulb was replaced and the thermostat was removed revealing that the thermostat that had been ordered was the incorrect thermostat. Someone would be picking up the correct thermostat at another dealership and could return in an hour or so and then the thermostat installation would take ~1.5 hours. I was offered a loaner car to get lunch or run an errand which I declined. It was a nice day and I walked ten miles throughout my visit. It was almost 3:00 when I cashed out. I was able to use a coupon and also clean out my Buick rewards to apply to the invoice, lessening the $$ burden. As usual, everyone at Mangino Buick GMC was pleasant, polite and professional. We continue to trust sales and service personnel at Mangino as we have for almost 30 years. Although there are service options closer to home, we prefer to travel the >18 miles for trusted service. I still wonder if the design flaw that in 2021 caused our transmission to be stuck in 3rd gear at extremely high rpm for 275 miles was a domino effect that contributed to the early failure of our thermostat. Not one of any of our vehicles ever required a thermostat replacement and we've driven some over 150,000 miles.

My experience at Mangino has always been excellent. I can be an assertive customer at times without being demanding or controlling, and I am a person who appreciates excellent customer service. During my visit on March 26, 2025, while my vehicle was being serviced, I spoke with a gentleman in the sales department. My plan is to pass down my Buick Envision to my grandson next year and purchase a new vehicle. I had many questions. I spoke to Marcus Edwards in sales about my plan. Marcus greeted me with a lovely smile and a warm handshake. His calmness gave me the sense that he was the person to answer all my questions. At 72, sometimes it takes me a second to find my words. Well, with this being said, Marcus had the patience and the knowledge and was very professional! It wasn't long before my vehicle was done. I came in to get my vehicle inspected at 10:30am. I expected to be there a short time and to my surprise I ended being there for a long time. My vehicle was not finished until after 12noon. I brought my car here for a warranty concern regarding some vibration felt under certain driving conditions. I was told that two technicians drove the car and claimed there was no noticeable issue. After my visit, I reviewed the footage from the dash cam that apparently went unnoticed. In the video, I could see that the only person to drive the car was the one technician that I spoke to. So in essence, he lied straight to my face about it. Not only this, whilst in the waiting room I overheard the same technician lie to another customer about the same thing over the phone. He asked a second technician if they wanted to drive the customers car for a second opinion as he found nothing wrong on the first drive. They declined, and the technician told the person on the phone it was driven by two people. If he was dishonest about the test drive, I don’t believe that the claim of “nothing is wrong” was true either. I find this behavior highly unprofessional and unacceptable.

I was frustrated with my experience as I had made an appointment for 8a and dropped off my truck the night before. I had called and left 2 VMs throughout the day, but did not hear back. I called back at 4:30 to find out when my truck would be ready and spoke with Scott. Scott let me know that my truck was on the lift currently and the oil change and tire rotation would be done in the next 30 minutes. However, my request for spark plugs to be changed and brake service was not done and I was told that it couldn’t be done until at least Monday. I let Scott know that I had taken the day off from work for Friday, knowing in advance that I wouldn’t have the vehicle, but I could absolutely not make an appointment to bring my truck back on Monday as I need to work. Scott explained that they were down technicians and apologized profusely for waiting all day for just an oil change and tire rotation. I need to have a brake flush and the spark plugs changed. I will have to take another day off on this Friday, as this is the only day I have any flexibility. Scott said that I would be offered 10% off the work, which I appreciate, but do not think is enough. I purposely scheduled a time where the work could be done over 10 hours, and it wasn’t done. I understand the issue of not having enough workers, but my having to take time off for two days is a real problem for me.

The Dealership is great. I will continue to have my car serviced there. I love being able to use my GM points there. HOWEVER, my recent experience with the GM points organization has been troubling. A computer system error deducted twice for the tires I bought. OK computer errors happen. But the manual entries to correct the problem were way off. First I was credited with 100 times more points , then after that was corrected, the next entry was a 100 times to small. Both manual entries! My calls to the GM Points customer service and speaking to supervisors makes me feel like I am bothering them. Very poor!!!! Something is amiss in that organization.

HE TRIED TO SELL ME MOTOR MOUNTS BECAUSE THEY WERE LEAKING? WHAT? IN WAS RAINING THAT DAY. HE TRIED TO SELL REAR BRAKE DRUMS THAT HE DID NOT REMOVE TO INSPECT. I DID, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. THEY WERE BRAND NEW JUST 1 YEAR AGO. THEN HE TOLD ME THAT THE UNIVERSAL JOINTS WERE TIGHT AND THAT CAUSES A SHIMMY AT HIGH SPEED. WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS GUY? I WAS 3 HOURS WAITING TO HAVE MY TIRES ROTATED AND OIL CHANGE AND FILTER AND INSPECTION. AND ANOTHER THING, I DON'T APPRECIATE SOMEONE FILLING MY FLUIDS PREMATURELY IN THE DRIVE IN BAY. I USE A SPECIAL WASHER FLUID. I QUESTIONED THIS UPON MY ARRIVAL AT 9:00 AM. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SERVICE OVER THE PAST YEAR, BUT I AM NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED. WHAT HAPPENED TO JOE? GUESS I'LL HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER SERVICE STATION. THIS KID, CODY DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE THINKS HE DOES. HE WAS DUMBFOUNDED WHEN I QUESTIONED HIM MECHANICALLY. I have a 2024 GMC Sierra with 15,000 miles on it. I have had the issue since I bought it. The screen will start displaying every error message on a rotation, the signals stop working and the power steering will cut out. The screen will stay on when you turn off the truck and drain the battery dead. A few times I have it towed in and "can't find anything wrong". Every time I get an email of a new video from the service tech, we play it on the big screen at the office for laughs. It's starting to get not so funny. I don't trust this truck to pull my camper anymore, so we have canceled our trip to Maine this month. I like this dealership. we have been going there for 15 or 20 years. I just hope they can get this fixed.

Talked to service advisor before leaving lot about unacceptable quality of work. Was going to order another part and get it painted to match car. "Fixed" the misfire by replacing sparkplug but car runs worse than before. Called immediately and spoke to service advisor as I was driving home about how the car was driving. Called 9/29/25 to follow up on the issues and told to bring car back in. Service advisor not listening to specific complaints and stating all the problems are transmission related despite recent service being done on the transmission. Upon review of my bill I found that I was being charged for a tire rotation that was not performed and was over charged for the oil change. I had requested the tire rotation but the service tech noted in the inspection video that he did not recommend it at this time and thus did not perform it; however, he did not denote it on the paperwork so the service advisor did not know that it was not performed. It appears my billing issues were a result of communication problems.

I have been a customer of Mangino Buick/GMC for the past 12 years (have purchased and always serviced two trucks only there and am contemplating a third). I have always been impressed with the quality of their service and personal attention. Most recently my truck battery died, and the service department was able to accommodate me on a Monday morning as a "call in" and replaced the battery, checked the charging system, and went the extra mile to top off all fluids and make sure tire inflation was correct (weather had turned cold in a hurry and I hadn't had a chance to do this myself). They got me "back on the road" in less than two hours. This was more than I expected or could have hoped for. I will continue to utilize their services...no reason to look anywhere else! Kudos to the entire dealership...definite advantages to using a local family-owned business. THANK YOU MANGINO BUICK/GMC!!!

I have discussed my disappoints with the dealership. The way the need for an alignment was presented (last minute) made me feel like I was being upsold. When we discussed the need to complete the alignment based on the alignment check data I was advised the misalignment was not significant to require the wheel alignment be completed at this visit by the Service Manager. The Service Writer seemed disappointed and sent me an email documenting the additional service had been recommended and refused. The installation of four replacement tires was estimated to take 1 1/2 to 2 hours to completed. My car was ready in 2 1/2 hours. However it took the Service Writer an additional 1/2 hour to make himself available to complete the service report and invoice further extending my wait time at the dealership

This is referring to my 10/24 visit. I dropped my car first thing in the morning, expecting it to be done that day. I got no call from Scott S giving any kind of status. I had to call 2x. On Saturday, I got a hold of a different service advisor. My car hadnt been serviced on Friday and he couldnt give me an update. I asked for a manager to call me. On Monday, I followed up again. Car got serviced except the power step. I authorized that to get fixed. Said it would be 1-2 days to get the part in. End of day Weds, I called again because no one had followed up. Scott was out. Eric let me know that the file didnt show any authorization to order the part. So my car had just been sitting. I told him to order the part (which he did) and I came and got my car. Part came in and has finally been repaired. I have never had such poor follow through from a service department than I had from Scott. I mean never. Eric did a good job mopping up Scott's poor communication and execution. I will not use your dealer for service ever again.

I had an 8:30a appt for an oil change and tire rotation. My truck was dropped off the night before. I received a message at about 7:30, to follow along with the service. I called around 11a because I hadn’t heard anything. Was told it was just getting pulled in. I informed him I needed it by 3p. At 3p I called and was told I would be safe to pick it up in 20 mins. I arrived at 3:50 to my truck not being done. Was told almost, tech was looking up parts for my front end. (Damage from a deer, but nothing was requested for this). Told another 10-15 mins. At 4:20 It still wasn’t done. Another writer asked if I had been helped as I stood in the writer area waiting. I told him what’s going on, he went to check. Came back and said they were just filling it with oil, and torquing the wheels. I didn’t get out of there until 4:30

Excellent service as always. Suggestion though...add a touchless car wash to your facility? I have two cars from another dealer network and I can get my car washed each week for free and...it's washed after every service. Also, I'd take out the paper floor mat and service hang tag after the work is done. Small hassle but but adds extra work for customers when they get in the car.

Unfortunately I couldn’t say everything was excellent. I dropped my truck off the night before my actual appointment with hope that it would get done by noon. That didn’t happen, and to compound the situation no one ever called me to tell me what was happening. I called the service department at 1430 and was told that it hadn’t been looked at yet and I’d need to leave it again before they could get to it. That was a major inconvenience because I had to find a ride to and from work. Fortunately my wife’s schedule was able to accommodate me.

I had an appointment to replace the driver side remote control mirror that was damaged by an unknown means/individual a few days before in a parking lot. I stopped at Mangino's for an estimate and appointment for restoration date. Estimate was given, part was ordered and installation date and time was set. On day scheduled for installation I arrived 1/2 hour ahead, as instructed, and car was immediately moved inside for service. Service manager went over the work order with me and notified me all parts were received and staff member was ready to start on required service. Service to be done, with pricing, was explained to me with an estimate of completion time and was agreeable. I retired to a clean comfortable waiting room with coffee and other amenities making the wait no problem. The repair was done within the estimated time with a progress report given periodically. All those I encountered thru the entire process were friendly. professional and provided excellent service.

There was no communication on the status of my vehicle. I had scheduled an appointment for new tires, tire alignment, state inspection and oil change and I was told it would be 1.5 hours to complete. When I arrived for my appointment, I was about 45 mins early and I said was waiting and my service advisor stated okay it will only be a few hours, which translates to 1.5-2 hours. When I go to get an update as no one came over to give me one at 11:30 I told it would be at least another 2 hours before they would be done with my vehicle. I was annoyed as I didn’t plan on being there for 5-6 hours for what I was having done as no one told me it would be that long.

I brought my 2024 HD AT4 in for inspection and to service my brake sensor. When the service was complete I was told that there was 4mm of pad wear left on the rear brake pads and would need rear brakes soon and that 4mm was about when the service sensor normally indicates such. I asked them if they thought 10,600 miles was reasonable. They needed to be convinced by me that it was not and that I've never put brakes on a HD GM truck and I've had 6 since 2002. Most of them were traded in with 36k miles or more, one with over 60k. I was told thats brakes weren't a warrenty item and wouldn't be covered. I explained I wasn't concerned with a set of pads but why this truck was burning through brake pads. Apparently nobody thought of that during the service appt. I had to make another appt for 12/2 or 12/4. Not expecting much based on the last appt. This is the first time I was totally dissatisfied with my service and assume it will be typical of what's to come in the future. Very dossapointing since Manginos service was a very big part of my doing business there. I've always given a 5 in the past.

I made an appointment two weeks prior to have tires installed and an oil change. The appointment was for 830. I called at 9 o’clock to see when it would be done so I could arrange to pick it up and I was told it wouldn’t be done till late in the afternoon because I dropped it off. I called around 130 to find out the progress and the person who I spoke to said they would call me back in 10 minutes and I never received a call back. Also I left instructions when I made the appointment to check the alignment only and make no adjustments because the tires that were on the truck had 70,000 miles and we’re wearing perfectly. The mechanic called to see if I wanted to make the slight adjustment that needed to be made, but by then I was out of cell service so he made the adjustment anyway apparently there was no notes. I came by the next morning to see what happened and I was told that if I would’ve waited for it, it would’ve been done first. I don’t see how me being there makes a difference when I had an appointment. I then had to arrange a ride 75 miles away because I didn’t have my vehicle.

Maybe it was just coincidence, but I bring my truck in for left rear tpms sensor, they repair it but find both right side tpms sensors are faulty. Fine, they replace them. I leave about 5pm from a 1pm appt. No complaint. Drive home to Lake George. Next morning on my first drive from leaving the dealership, MY LEFT REAR CALIPER HAS SEIZED and is GRINDING. I immediately return to Mangino. Advisor Eric immediately gets it confirmed that yes THAT right rear caliper has seized. Fine it's likely covered by the extended bumper to bumper warranty I purchased there. After two days it's confirmed that the caliper is covered by warranty. BUT THE LEFT REAR ROTOR AND PADS IT Destroyed BC OF THAT FAULTY CALIPER ARE NOT COVERED,! And it's now going to COST ME $1000 to replaced BOTH REAR ROTORS AND PADS. YET the Monday mechanic inspection video indicated after repairing that left rear tpms sensor that ALL ELSE LOOKED GOOD WITH MY TRUCK. I just find it disappointing that 1. Given the above that the $1000 cost of replacing both rear wheel pads and rotors because of a warrantied caliper failure (left rear) is to be borne by me who purchased a bumper to bumper warranty there. That makes no sense, the failed caliper caused those other two items to fail, and now for protocol reasons need to replace right rotor and pad too?! 2. Prior to this visit I HAD NO GRINDING, NO REAR BRAKE CALIPER (ROTOR AND PAD) ISSUES, NONE. The brake wear indicator states 84% brake life remains on the rear brakes, and still does after 3 days of grinding the left rotor?! How can that be? Yet, immediately following the left rear tpms replacement, this left rear CALIPER FAILS, and there is no correlation from Mondays work on the left rear tpms sensor and that caliper failing?! It was just coincidental? Maybe, maybe not. 3. Since my return Tuesday for the caliper diagnosis, my front brake wear has gone from 71% to 65% because of the strain now put on the front brakes bc the left rear is grinding and not stopping the vehicle. It is my opinion that all work that Mangino recommends I have done should be completed at Mangino Cost and not mine because I have a bumper to bumper warranty, and it is my opinion something happen during the tpms sensor work on Monday that caused this caliper failure Tuesday or Monday evening. I am requesting all this work be at GMC warranty and or Mangino cost, and only the $100 deductible should be bore by me. Also new front brake pads should be installed as they continue to be worn done by me being forced to drive this vehicle now for 5+ days until parts were found and this warranty issue was litigated with the warranty provider. In this interim per my warranty I should have a similar equipped loaner truck supplied until this is resolved and repaired. I paid for a tire rotation because I was traveling to Florida and come to find out I paid for a service that I never received. When I called Craig he said ok I will have the cashier Tammy call you.
